Makes Life So Much Easier And Cheaper! A Must Buy!

"I have also had my bullet for over a year with no problems at all. I was hesitant about buying it due to all the bad reviews and my normal bad luck but am sooo glad I went for it.
The Only downfall I found is that it is loud but even that doesn't bother me anymore because it is so fast to make whatever I'm making. Has saved me well over what I would have spent in 2 days at our normal frappachino spot (*arbucks)and makes great smoothies, salsa, queso and milk shakes. Works beautifly for fresh grated cheese too. It works great for my onions being that I only use it for a second or two for large chunks not smaller pieces. I'm sorry for those with bad experiences but I will buy another if anything(Lord Forbid) ever happens to mine."

Great Blender...

"LOVE the Blender...I've had mine for nearly 1 year and use it almost every day.

PROS:
Use flat blade for grinding coffee beans, powerding oatmeal, grinding flax seeds... Tried the chocolate mouse and it was wonderfuly fattening.
Use Cross Blade for smoothies, scrambling eggs, milk shakes and other mixed drinks. Also use for mincing garlic. Onions turn to mush. Tried the cheese cake recipe and it wasn't half bad.

CONS:
VERY LOUD when blending ice in smoothies. I have to cover it with a cloth to muffle the noise.

The only thing we've had to replace so far was a seal. Other than that, nothing broken. The only thing we put in the dishwasher is the the large & small mixing containers. Hope this helps."

A Piece Of Garbage

"I purchased a magic bullet a year ago and it has broken twice now. First time company replace part, now its too late. The magic bullet does nothing more than a regular blender or food processor can do. If you have a processor forget about the bullet. All it does is pulverize your food."

What A Piece Of Junk!

"I told myself I would never buy any thing that I could not take back to a store again, but this "Magic Bullet" informercial was just too great to pass by. Boy was I sorry. The juicer turned my carrots into baby food. The smoothees were lumpy and the salsa was watery and gushy.
What'a worse is the motor burned out in 6 months. What a phony baloney product! Save your money and buy a Waring blender!"

Doesn't Live Up To It's Expectations

"I was really excited when I ordered my Magic
Bullet, especially when I got a 2nd one free. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the claims made in the informercial. There are both plus and minuses. On the minus side:

*Onions and tomatoes dice up really fast, and you have to be careful, otherwise they will turn to puree really fast!

*While trying to make guacamole, or deviled ham (from the enclosed cookbook), the Magic Bullet only chops up the food closest to the blade. I've had to shake the whole unit (suggested by the instruction book) to work the food on top down to the blade, but it didn't help completely.

*The salsa came out more watery instead of chunky like how it looks in the infomercial.

*If you run the Magic Bullet for more than 1 minute, the unit will overheat, and you have to wait for it to cool off before using it again (this is is the instruction booklet.)

*I cut my finger pretty bad on one of the cups. The cups have pointed stubs all around that fit into the Magic Bullet unit, but they're sharp, and when you twist a lid on or off, you can very easily cut your hand on one of those stubs.

On the plus side:

It makes very good protein shakes.

It makes very good Hummus (there is a wonderful hummus recipe in the recipe book.)

With a little trial and error, I have learned to use it better, especially making onions and guacamole. But it's definitely not worth $100. I think if I had to do it again, I would have bought a regular food processor."

Do Not Like It.

"I am not happy with the Magic Bullet at all. It does not chop things, it simply pulverizes what is on the bottom of the cup, and you are left with big chunks on the top 28even when you use their shaking method29. I found the same to be true when trying to blend drinks and making salsa. It turns everythin into soup. I can't even chop onions with it. Trying to do cheese is really a joke. I do not use mine at all."

Works Great For Me, For The Most Part

"I know some people have given it bad ratings, but so far I've had great success with mine. I read complaints about stripping in the threads and the plastic piece under the blade assembly that spins the motor - that is definitely possible but that can happen to anything with plastic; you just need to take your time and make sure everything's going together correctly before going too far. I haven't had mine long enough to say that it WON'T happen, but it's been OK so far. As for turning foods into mush, as long as you're very careful how long you keep it on, it works very well. It takes some getting used to because if you're not careful, a blend or chop quickly turns into a puree, if you literally go just a few seconds too long. I recommend reading the instruction manual about the "Pulse" and other techniques they suggest to get foods just right and to keep you from going too far. The juicer isn't perfect but it did work for me. It seemed like I got less juice out of 2 apples than I remember from a juicer."

Recipe Book Garbage

"I thought it it would be pretty decent after seeing the infomercial. It does some things okay, nothing well. The recipe book is HORRIBLE. Most of the dip recipes have you stuffing way too many ingredients into the the mixing cup. Maybe there are typos on which cup to use.

What I did learn is that almost everything that was demonstrated on the infomercial was impossible to do in my kitchen as shown. 3 seconds usually turned into 30 seconds or a lot more to get the desired consistency."

Not What Was Promised

"I find that the Magic Bullet cannot make chicken salad or tuna salad. It doesn't even make eggs/omelets as shown on TV. The engine grinds horribly when I try to crush ice. This machine is not worth the money."

Not Worth The Money!

"My husband bought this for me. He kept telling me how wonderful it worked on the informercial. As usual, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. First we tried the little three second chicken salad recipe, yeah right. It liquified the food near the blade and left the rest untouched. We tried egg salad, same thing. So then we tried making a slush with ice cubes. Not happening. Unless you think it's fun to stand there shaking and banging trying to rotate the ice around to where the blades can reach it. That nifty tornado action is a LIE. And I know how to use a blender, I know that things have to be wet enough to move around in there, it still doesn't work. So, now in order to make a slush, we have to send the ice cubes through an OLD Rival ice crusher first, then pour them into a mug with some snow cone syrup and stand there playing with the magic bullet for 5 to 7 minutes before it resembles a slush and you still end up with chunks. If I (he) had paid 15 bucks for it, I wouldn't complain (too much), but this thing is NOT worth the money! I'm so glad I didn't throw away that ancient blender my Grandma gave me. At least back then they made things that actually WORKED!"
