"I wasn't sure it would work because of the steam, but I was surprised! I does everything it says it will do and more. My hair is soft, and straight. I love it and have recommended it to others. Black women should use this and stop getting those relaxers which cost too much and fry the scalp. Get the MaxiGlide instead. P.S. Never buy Nutra Renew."

"Today i went ot my hair dresser to get a hair cut and she goes i am not going to blow dry your hair stright i am going to use the new maxi glide that we got. i said ok wow it must really work if they are using it at my hair salon, because in watching the commericals on tv i thought how could it really work that good.. and so from the first piece of hair she did i could see the difference from my regular strightener.. when i was done i said wow it feels like air.. my hair which is very thick and usually frizzy was NO more it is so thin and looks amazing! i am ordering my own maxi glide today !!"

"My daughter has very long thick course hair, you can't get a comb through it. Pressed her hair for at least 2 hours. Until I purchased the maxiglide now it takes about 30 minutes, which is excellent because her hair is to the middle of her back. Looks like shes been to the salon. Order this product it will amaze you. compliments on our hair everyday. Your hair will get super straight."

"I love this iron. It gets my hair really straight. If you are African-American and you have natural hair you might want to airdry with medium braids, and then flatiron. My friends daughter is 100% natural and her hair got very straight, it was like a medium press. Her hair is type 4 or very curly.

"My hair was extremely frizzy. I've tried different products & straightening combs which all produced mediocore results. But this Maxi-Glide did just what the infomercial said it would do. It made my hair str8, soft & shiny! All because of the combinatoon of heat & steam. I don't need to rely on chemicals and overpriceed hair products anymore. I luv it!"

"I just purchased the Maxiglide hair straightener and it is the perfect straightener for African-American hair. I am currently growing my relaxer out and I needed something to straighten the new growth. I saw the infomercial and after reading some reviews on the product I decided to buy it. I have to say that I love it. It was money well spent. I only have to put it on the medium setting to do the trick. Anyone with natural hair or thinking of going natural, should try the Maxiglide hair straightener. I give it 5 stars!!!"

"I have very curly and frizzy hair. I straightened it chemically as a child and cried when it got curly again. As an adult I have blowed it straight with no success. I have been throught numerous products as well as flat irons and still my hair remained frizzy. I dont' usually buy products from info comericals but thought what do I have to lose? I tried Maxiglide flat iron and WOW!! I can finally say that I have an iron that works. My hair is silky and straight and last for days. I love it!! Try it - you won't believe how well it works. You will love it too!!!"

"After watching the informercial for Maxiglide as well as seeing the live on air demonstrations on a shopping network for some time now, I finally let my interest get the best of me and forked over the cash. I must say that this is the best product I have ever bought for my hair!!! I am a latina with very curly, frizzy, and extremely dry hair. I also colored my hair for several years and suffer from what seems like an eternity of split ends. As a resident of the NYC area, my hair is exposed to all kinds of weather, from the extreme humidity of the summer to the very dry, cold, and windy winter. I usually have to wait almost 2 hours at the salon ( hair wash, rollers, sitting under the dryer, and then having my hair blown out) in order to achieve straight hair. It looks great, that is, until I walk out of the salon. Even on what would be considered a perfect day- low humidity, no wind, my hair would get frizzy, curl up, and just look awful. I have tried so many other flatners, irons, ect. All they did was flatten my curly hair without making it striaght, burn, dry, and break my hair from high heat, all of which damaged my skin, hair, and was a waste of money and time. After using the Maxiglide, my hair problems are over! Using the Maxiglide is a bit tricky at first, especially for those who have difficulty blow drying their own hair, but you get the hang of it rather quickly. I use a med. setting and it leaves my hair so soft, silky, shiny, and of course STRAIGHT! In fact, it stays in excellent condition until I wash it. I just quickly touch up before I leave my home. As with all things you should take caution. For those who have had problems with this product, learn from their mistakes. Don't use it everyday because you may damage your hair in the long run with constant use. Allow your hair to air dry completely and make sure you comb it though the best that you can to avoid the possibility of pulling/ripping your hair when using the Maxiglide. Start out with the lowest recommended setting possible before cranking the heat- less is really more. Make it a point to condition your hair well and go for regular trims to your stylist to maintain your hair in top form. Basically, if you have some common sense, you should have no problems. I have used it for several months now, and my hair has never looked better! The Maxiglide is truly a curly/unruly hair's best friend. I would give this a five out of five stars!!!"

"YES THIS PRODUCT DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT CLAIMS. I HAVE NOT HAD A RELAXER IN A YEAR AND WAS SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT RELAXING IT AGAIN! UNTIL I DECIDED TO GIVE THE MAXI GLIDE A TRY! MY HAIR LOOKS LIKE I JUST RELAXED IT FROM THE ROOTS TO THE ENDS. I CAN ACTUALLY COMB MY HAIR AGAIN WITH OUT ALL THE HASSLE OF GOING OVER & OVER MY HAIR WITH USING A BUNCH OF HEAT LIKE I WAS WITH MY OTHER FLAT IRONS. SISTA'S IT WORKS IT REALLY WORKS. THIS WAS MY BEST PURCHASE THIS YEAR 2005. IT HEATS UP QUICKLY AND IT STRAIGHTENS THE TIGHTEST CURL AND NO MY HAIR IS NOT THE TEXTURE OF THE GIRLS FROM THE COMMERICAL IT IS AFRO TIGHT."
