Unhappy On What They Charged!

"I order this product by call the 1 800 number and man did i get ripped off. Just checked my charges and they said $69.80 and come to find out they took out $103.60. This i didn't appreciate at all. I have tried calling them but of course no answer. If anyone has had this problem let me know."

Straight From The Consumer's Critic

"Hi, my name is Andrea and I am well known as the consumer's critic. I bought this "gadget" in thinking it was a wonderful idea; only because I watched the infomercial. Infomercials have a way in making you want to buy anything and everything they advertise! The idea of not having to flip your food, sit it aside and let it cook was very appealing. So I purchased the GT Express 101 and the first thing I did was wash it out, of course. Then I read the recipes. I have a weakness for eggs and omelets so I decided to try an egg, swiss cheese, ham, and spinach omelet. As I was cooking my food, I couldn't help but notice there wasn't a temperature setting for this product. As you know, eggs are well known to stick to pans if set on too high of a setting. So I left the mixture in the Express 101 and cooked it for 10 minutes. During that time, I made coffee and watched a bit of Fox and Friends lol. When I came back to my food, I proceeded to scoop it out and noticed strips of teflon, non-stick coating attached to the bottom of the food! I was immediately taken back and unplugged the contraption and washed it out. I packaged it back into the box and sent it out to receive a non defective product. I asked the company to replace my defective product with a non defective and they did so with no hesitation. I really enjoyed the ease with customer service. It was very smooth the first time around. Another flaw I found was certain sizes of food will not fit into the pockets. I tried making a quesadilla and it just didn't work out too well. If you want truly, all over/even cooking with your food, it has to be a "half moon" shape. With my second GT Express 101, the teflon coating didn't flake onto my food until the 3rd time I cooked with it. The first and second occasions that I cooked with my second product, I was happy and thought it was quite convenient. But then while cooking my salmon and tuna steak on the 3rd try, I was highly disappointed and demanded a refund back. That was a hassle!!! They accused me of messing with the product to try to get my money back. What a crock, huh? So for all of you who are just as curious as I was, I would not give a second thought to the GT Express 101. If you have to, cook with regular pots and pans and use the George Forman Grill (which I highly recommend!!!). Thank you for taking the time to read my post and I hope you will find this helpful. Piece Of Expensive Junk

"Mine (as in the other reviews) started shedding the non-stick lining, don't even think it was teflon, more like a thin coat of shellac. I saw a similar product, in a Walgreen store, that was under $10 and looked like a much more quality product. This thing I ordered with shipping was about $80. Sure was disgusted when I saw the invoice. Was just too expensive to add a return shipping charge, and there was no guarentee with it. DON'T BUY, NOT WORTH IT."

Buy It And You'll Eat It

"The teflon started coming off my GT xpress the second time I used this product. I followed the cleaning instructions but that did not matter. I cannot use this product any longer, everything sticks. Customer service wanted $14.95 for shipping a new cooker to me. For what, to eat the teflon again? Sadly I bought a few units to give for presents when I bought my unit. Now I am too embarrassed to ask if the recipients like it. I am sure they ate teflon too. Shipping charges are outrageous. I give this product 2 thumbs down!!"

Happy With Product But Not Happy With S&h Charges

"I am enjoying my GT Express cooker, However,
I am not pleased at all with the fact that I was charged $29.90 for shipping and handling. Customer Service kept telling me that "They charge all of their customer's this amount". The S&H cost was approx. 80% of the price of the items. That was not made clear when I ordered the product."

Unless You Want To Pay $30.00 Shipping Don't Buy

"BUYER BEWARE, Not only is the cooker small but you pay a 29.90 shipping and handling fee. You will end up paying $69.90 for two little cookers. They do not accept returns either and their customer service(if you can call it that) is VERY POOR>
BEWARE"

This Little Gadget Really Really Rox!!!!

"Now If your a humongous gadget freak as like I am. You would almost have to have this. I wouldn't stop you from getting it either. I recommend this to just about any person I would talk to. Its so handy for starts. It really allows you to be creative. It looks small but believe me you can do alot with it. As they say its not the size of something its what you do with it that matters.I do alot in my little xpress 101. I love my homemade beef&bean burritos the most. I have done the pita pizzas, omlets, A surf and turf omlet a recipe I came up with with leftover shrimp. Like Cathy says in the infomercial Use what you got. Sometimes thats hte best way to cook . Use whats on hand. This little machine is so diverse too, It can bake. In the summer this is so handy for me with my diabetes It can get so hot in the kitchen sometimes warming an oven cooking with it. This is great for my Little sweet and low chocolate cakes."
