The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread.
Posted on 01/11/09 by Hannah from New York
I love this machine. I have one that has the cloth bar on top that you can hold onto and it has two single hand straps. I tend to use the single hand straps and it works like magic. I play softball and in the winter, we have practices three days a week. I don't usually use my ab lounge on those days. And on one day a week, usually Sunday, I take that day off. But on the other three days, I use my ab lounge. When the normal season comes, and I play all year around, I still use my ab lounge three to four times a week. I have seen results like never before. Not only are my upper abs getting smaller, but my lower abs are withering away as well. The best thing about it is that i can feel my abs getting tighter as I use this machine. I recommend this to anyone who is willing to small amounts of work for a great amount of results.
Save Your Money

My husband and I both have tried the ablounger. Both of us experienced severe back pains and no results on our abs. When I called the company to ask about the back pain I was told there was no way the ablounger would cause back pain, but the pain has stopped since I stopped using it. Save your money and try doing conventional crunches if you want to see results.
A Good Product Overall.

I bought my Ab Lounge2 at Walmart and I love it. The only problem I've had with it is that after about 2 uses the strap ripped off the bolt. This problem was easily fixed though with some large washers.
We Like The Product

there has to be another way to fold this thing up it's something i am working on. that's the one thing we do not like about this product. unscrewing bolts is not the way to design a product. back to the drawing board boy's and girl's.
Great Work Out But Doesn't Fold Up.

This machine is a great workout for your abs. It makes doing the sit up a lot nicr and works your abs hard. Lets face it if your going to do any kind of exercise it should burn right? I love when people think it should be easy and not burn.
One big problem for me is that it doesn't store anywhere or fold up. I have to keep it open.
The Original Seems Like It Might Be Best....

After reading all of the previous reviews I feel bad for the ones who are not satisfied...I just got the Ablounge (original). I really do like it. It comes with a video that shows 5 different ways to work out on it, and it's comfortable. It of course has the bar at the top and the adjustable foot rest which is great because at first i had a hard time adjusting to it. One thing i do not like is that it's heavier than what they make it look like on TV and of course on TV they make it look so easy to fold up. In reality you have to take off 2 bolts and the bungy cords underneath it. It was a little hard to put together but I managed. I just got mine today and i've done the 10 minute video about 8 times today and I feel it working. I feel the burn. I recommend the ablounge 1 over the ABL2. It's worth the extra money and you can pay it in payments. 50 a month. Good luck everyone!!!

I have the AbLounge Sport or 2......it has the strap instead of the bar so i hold onto the top of the seat cause the strap hurts! Also you can't foldup and put away as the thin bar that hooks between the front and back to support it does not bend so therefore can't fold and put away. Does anybody know where i can change that part so it will bend in middle and allow AbLounge to collaspe???? lol
Excellent Product

My husband purchased the ablounge2 for me recently from walmart. I have neck problems and found that the ablounge2 offers the needed support to my neck and upper back. I have used this product on a daily basis for about 14 days and have experienced unbelievable results. I have never had a flat stomach even though I am 5'00" and weigh 110 pounds. I do between 200 & 300 crunches a day and my 'pouchy' stomach is becoming flatter and flatter. You can feel the burn while exercising. In addition, this machine is easy for me to use. Being short, I use this with the foot rests up instead of down. This makes the necessary movement comfortable for me. I am completely satisfied with this product and highly recommend it to anyone serious about working out his or her abdomen.
Not Good For People With Back Problems.

I purchased the equiptment after a friend said that she lost 3 inches after using it. I have had some lower back issues and after using it a couple of days my back began to hurt. I am sorry to say that I will be returning the machine.
Disappointed Mostly In Sturdyness Of Equipment.

I got the Ablounge 2. I had to have my boyfriend assemble it. I think it works the upper abs very well, but my lower abs don't seem to be changing much. My BIGGEST disappointment is that the thing keeps falling apart. The bolts fly off during my excercize sessions and I usually don't realize they are off and gone somewhere until the next time I attempt to unfold it and use it again! I also don't find it convenient at all to fold up and store. It's heavy and a pain. You would be better off just leaving it up all the time.
