I love my Maxiglide! I've owned a Maxiglide for a couple years now.I have some the curliest hair in the world that gets damaged so easily. I've used other flat irons before where all they did was burn and tangle my curls, not straighten and make them shine.The Maxiglide combs out my hair and the steam used in it just makes it so much easier, does less damage to my hair and makes it so I don't have to drench my hair in product before straightening it. Aslo, I noticed compared to other flat irons when I straighten my hair with the maxiglide it lasts longer.I live in a humid climate where the weather changes almost instantly from dry to wet. Straighting my hair with the maxiglide has kept me from worrying about my hair frizzing over. Plus, with the interchangable plates I can just touch up my hair later.

I saw the infomercial, and despite how well the Maxiglide seemed to work on TV, I was unsure, but thought I would try it. My Maxiglide came 2 days later, and I am hooked. It is incredibly easy to use and the results were immediate. No more struggling with flat irons that have left kinks in my hair; no more fear of the heat from flat irons! My hair is not only straight the way I want it, but it has more shine than I ever imagined. Thank you for this amazing product. It took just minutes for lovely, straight locks that get looks!

I am mixed with A.A/Hispanic - i have curly and dry hair. I purchased the TCP before the maxi and I loved it but wanted to try something different. I bought the Maxi and it works fine but it pulls my hair a lot, it is very bulky and a little difficult to manage. Thanx but no thanx- I'll stick to to the TCP.

I have purchased two Maxiglide straightners in the last two years. My second one just quit working a few days ago. I Love the product as long as it works. I have had the same problem with both straightners, they work for about a year and then all of a sudden they only heat on one side either the top or bottom. I don't know if the wires break inside or the cord breaks or what the problem is, but it is getting aggravating. It is the best straightner on the market but at the price I may be trying something else. I wish they would make one with a rotating cord.

The maxiglide is fantastic. Just one swipe and my hair is bone straight and silky smooth to the touch. No burning smell, no recurling. It's the flat iron to own. I don't have to pay big bucks anymore to anyone. I love it! I love It! I love it!

I had seen the infomercial for the Maxiglide several times before I was willing to buy it. I knew better than to buy direct from the company. I found a good deal on ebay. Anyway, I was very impressed by this product. I have extremly thick, wavy, shoulder length hair. It takes me about 30-40 minutes to finish(some of this is just the perfectionist in me trying to get the back of my hair, only to find I missed a small spot). As you can see from my name, I am a mom to 2 active toddlers so I don't have a whole lot of free time. When I want my hair straight, I just turn on a PBS show for the kids, and I'm usually done close to the time their show is over. The SteamBurst is awesome. I really think that's a major reason that I'm able to get my thick, wavy hair into pin-straight. I would say to everyone to watch the DVD that comes with it before your first time using the Maxiglide. The time it takes to heat up is reasonable, especially since I have to have it around 10-15 for my hairtype. It nice that it has the blinking light that stops blinking when it is heated up. It takes all the guess work out. I have tried other flat irons, but it would always take me over 1 1/2 hrs because of my thick hair and also most flat irons don't have very wide plates. I love that the Maxiglde has 4" plates. Makes it go much faster! I wish the rest of the industry would catch on, although I can honestly say I wouldn't use anything else. I don't think you'd necessarily have to use the "Beyond Straight" and "The End" products in your hair. I have used other products such as ThermaSilk heat activated creams and it seems to work just as well. I was not really impressed by the MiniGlide, mostly because the plates are so thin. The MaxiGlide works much better for me. MaxiGlide is a must-have product if your hair is anything but naturally straight and you are longing for the long, straight and sleek look. Also a must-have if your get a haircut with a lot of layers!

I was skeptical at first to pay the high price for this item, but was immediately a confirmed believer and will never use another brand for my styling. I have even bought an extra for a backup!! Buy this with total confidence.

The Maxiglide is a wonderful product.I have tried different straightener ,but this is great.It made my hair straight,soft and shiny in few minutes.I love it.I would recommend to everybody .

Be careful when using this product, it does straighten your hair however, I used it approx. 4 times 2 months ago on healthy, long hair. I quit using it because my hair started shedding alot, I'm still sweeping my hair from the floor and have been everyday until today 2/14/06 I followed directions carefully and had it set on 3.

Watching the infomercial, I'm thinking, "No way! But, at least there is a money back guarantee!" I don't need my money back. I've finally found the answer to my hair prayers. Being a woman of color in the military, it gets hard to be decent with your hair on short notice at times. Especially, with the 5:30 AM workouts! In a hurry, I'd have to blow dry my sweaty hair out and style it all over again with curling and flat irons. All of those things can be taken care of with this one product in a matter of minutes! I've even found my secret weapon for when I deploy to the desert (hoping I can "plug-in" when needed!). I've gone almost two years without putting chemicals in my hair. What is found on my head after combing it out is just about a two foot Afro! With the Maxiglide, I can walk out looking like I just got a relaxer. No kidding! I have nothing to gain from lying. I wish I could attach my "before" picture for all to see. I've already convinced my friends and family. What a relief! I'm so sold that I am even going to try out the hair products associated with the iron. I even suggest that women with any hair type try it out. The curling feature is just fantastic! Thank you!
