I bought mine 2nd hand about 5 years ago and it's still going strong. I use it extensively for all sorts, including hard vegetables. I'm sorry that others have have such bad experiences. Maybe I'm just lucky?!
1 Inferior Dollar Part Caused $70 Repair

We purchased the juicer about a year ago and have used it approximately 15 times. My wife is the juicer in the family all 115 lbs. of her. Yesterday she was making juice when the plastic screw attachment of the blade broke. The rep. said she over tightened the blade and a replacement base motor would be needed plus shipping. The motor, blades strainer all seemed to be of superior quality. Why then did they scimp on the plastic connection to the motor. Is this a prime example of planned obsolesense or just a quality oversight. My skinny little wife tightened the blade too tight!!!!!! too tough for juice.
You Will Need Teeth To Drink The Juice.

I was looking for a juicer not a fruit extractor.
There is so much pulp in the juice that you can hardly drink it. I can not drink it at all. My husband suggest we use it to make vegetable stock for soups and stews.
Light Duty Juicer, Not Made For The Long Haul.

It juices fine, except that it jumps around
on the counter when juicing harder veggies
such as beets, etc.
Definetely not made to hold up in the long run.
Have 5 juicers and the Breville is best by far.
Juicer Was Damaged When I Received It
Posted on 02/16/05 by Pam Hall from newport, kentucky
I have called the customer service number 6 times trying to get a label so i could return the damaged one and get another juicer. CS gave me the run around for a month so now i cannot return the damaged juicer and get my money back. my only option now is to wait for their label and return the damaged juicer to get a replacement. i was never able to talk to a manager! what a rip off operation.
